YangMingShan National Park was named for a man named Wang Yang Ming. Unfortunately I can't give you some cool historical spiel about him because I still don't know who he was. There was a bronze statue of him in the park, but his story wasn't translated into English. I can, however, brag that I know that the "ming" in his name means bright. That character is composed of the sun and the moon and it's easy. "Shan" means mountain. Posted by Picasa
