YangMingShan National Park was named for a man named Wang Yang Ming. Unfortunately I can't give you some cool historical spiel about him because I still don't know who he was. There was a bronze statue of him in the park, but his story wasn't translated into English. I can, however, brag that I know that the "ming" in his name means bright. That character is composed of the sun and the moon and it's easy. "Shan" means mountain.
There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.
