Finding the Rabbit

Last weekend, I got a surprise bit of vacation. For some reason, all of my Saturday classes had been either cancelled or rescheduled, leaving me with a whole weekend free. So I decided to take a trip down to Taichung to visit my friend and former housemate, Rodger, and his girlfriend, Aimee, who is Taiwanese. Taichung is halfway down the island on the western side (the big round dot on the map of Taiwan up above. Keelung is in the extreme northeast corner of the island). I hopped on the high-speed rail at 8:10 in Keelung and arrived in Taichung around 11:30. Then I spent two blissful days with my friends, filling up on the laughter I’ve been sorely missing over the past few weeks.
