We headed back up to Keelung on Tuesday afternoon. But first, Heidi, Jon and I rented bikes from the hotel in the morning, and biked down to a beach in Hualien about a mile away. There, I found the sand littered with small chunks of sea-polished marble, and filled up my pockets.
